All my friends have imports.. not that iam cracking on 4 bangers but i wanted to go faster. i know kids my age (23) are in to imports but its not for me. A friend of mine has a 500 hp eclipse and he talks mad shi# about how hes so fast. so iam going to build this

From the looks, its tough to tell, but the e-body appears to have suffered from a lot of rust. No better car to chassis than one that's pretty much on its way out....Besides, I have one that's a little chopped as well, just not as nicely as yours. Good luck and congrats. I saw your previous post on YB or somewhere.

To me, imports suck hands down....can`t stand em and actually get pissed off when I see or hear em ESPECIALLY at the track. Loud and slow. I know there are some fairly fast ones but, far and few between. Nice choice; what`s it gonna have for a motor, trans rear etc?

Don't worry...that 500hp Eclipse will be chucking drivetrain parts any day now...

Do a solid build (sounds like you are) and you'll have NO problem with 99.999% of the idiots with even the 700hp dyno-queens.

I have seen a bunch of so called high HP Imports, usually Dyno queens that put up good numbers, that cant get out of there own way at the track. That engine your building could tow one Import, while cleaning the plow of another down the 1320. Those guys aren't worth argument over, no matter how many times you out run them, they have excuses, empty bottle, missed a gear, spun the tires etc..
They put $20K into the Fart boxes, Big radio's, light packages froma UFO. Only to figure out the wont stay together, and are still slow, were a healthy small block in a moderate sized car are Both more reliable, and quicker.

i hope you dont plan on street racing that thing. its hard enough to get a race with my slow azzz barracuda let alone a chassi car. but there are a few 8 sec. cars that street race arround here.

but serriously that is a rediculous car good luck man. cant wait too see it going down the track.

i dont waste my time racin those little fert pipes,its a no win situation,if you beat em then you hear,:well its only a 6 banger" and by some odd chance they beat you then its like "man,i just wuped your big V8 with my 6 bange r" then after that theres the assault charges,anger managment classes ,fines, well you know what i mean.

It feels good bc no one has my back, all i hear is, u cant build that or i have AWD and ill kill you on the line.. i know what you mean about how you can never win with them and their 2inch exhaust into a 4 1/2 tips lol .. so i let them talk all their [Edited by Moparts - Keep it clean] and i and i tell me self in the back of me head.. I feel ya I'm 26 and have never given two farts for those turds. They were made for one thing, gas mileage and then some goobers see them in a movie and all of a sudden they are performance cars. GOODNIGHT!

Lol I know exactly what you are talking about. Around here it's all imports and mustangs. I'm 20 and most of the boys my age love their imports, but as a girl I am much smarter than those dumb boys

I wonder if the OP is the real owner. A guy capable of a project like that is not likely going to intro it with a "beat all imports" theme.
I wonder what kind of fuel delivery he planned to use with the turbo-blow through carb or fuel injection? What management system?

In my experience, when the 'little sporty car' guys start talking, they talk about how fast they can go - until someone with a car with a bunch more power chimes in. Then, it's about cornering, braking, apexes, etc...

Just an NA B1 headed stroker motor should be able to make you have to change your Depends. Adding boost... nuts. But, a good kind of nuts.

This car vs. anything you're likely to run across on the street (domestic or import) is going to be kinda' like taking cruise missles to the shooting range.
