Detroit Sleepers wanted...dizuster? Buster Brown?

John Quick posted this on FB, a casting call for a show pitting sleepers against supercars in the Detroit area...might not be your thing, but your cars fit the bill

They put this out for several major US cities, Detroit, LA, New York were the ones I saw.
Thumpr needs to check into it, doubt many would expect his car with no adder, 6pt bar, mostly steel to go mid to high 9's thru mufflers.

Are any of you familiar with JP's "Black Jesus" Mustang?? Looks stock except some wheels, no cage and has been 4.90's

there was a little drama at the last local "street car" shootout because one of the faster guys had a cage...

Yeah he's crazy, he beat Boosted GT on the street too.

JP's car would be more of a sleeper with a flat hood instead of the cowl, and it would help to black out the intercooler or go air/water and hide it inside somewhere. Awesome car though!

Run in the low 11's around here without a cage and they tell you not to bring it back! A guy in an import got killed last year at our track so they don't let anything slide now.

Seeing that car blacktrack and spin at 60 mph roll racing a Lambo is crazy!!

They don't care at our local track unless it is an official event. During a street or grudge/No ET, it seems anything goes. Tech hasn't seen under my hood in 2 years...

Agreed, I don't care what car it is or what motor is in it, anything that can run 4's in the 8th is awesome.

Mo-Kan Dragway is the same way. They tech on an "as needed" basis is what the lady told me when I signed the waiver. LOL

That's the first thing I noticed too. This could be way different than any drag race.

Yeah, FASTEST is usually connected to road/course racing where as QUICKEST is associated with Drag.
