How much power can a 48° block Handled not filled ??

What application?

Whats the blocks history?

I think you could spray one to 800 off a controller if you can keep head gaskets in it, boost even more.

I ask history as if its had a service life in any circle track setting they can be fatigued where on in a drag car could almost last forever if never hurt.

Sonic test, they're not siamese bores from memory.

I wouldn't stress about putting some grout in it if it is going to see the street either.

I would have a short deck one going together right now but I am forced to go with W7 heads and I have the Jessel rockers and intake. It's currently on hold till I find some at a decent price. I've been lead to believe that with the cam and pistons I have it would be in the 750 HP range. Time will tell

Nitrous oxide and ignition systems have came a long ways and are not nearly as hard on Motors when used correctly.. I'm betting 800hp.. is possible if done right... who ended up doing your machine work...

I have one and it's been making between 750 and 800 aspirated, it's a little thin at 4.100.

i was making 800 with gas on a early 360 block with fill ,i am looking at a 850 to 1000 with the r block w7 build i am doing now

I go 162mph with a r1a 48° block at 3215 lbs. Use 200hp worth of nitrous to get there.

Its an R block first generation 48 with W9's. Its been 139 at 3520.

Did you push the lifter boars ??? I was told not to do it that they were to thin

No lifter bushes and the lifter bores are mint. Mine is very basic no gas ported pistons or anything exotic.
