Calvert front segment #/lenght - 05/07/17 06:16 PM

Trying to move axle rearward. which ones go in to do this? Lf426-445 and lf 120-345. Just took the 120-345 out. The 120-345 look longer. I need something longer than this

You're going to have to call Calvert for this info, I'm sure.

I went to the 25" ft segment but not to move the rear back but to take advantage of the extra leverage...........

Ok. The ones in it now are 120-345 20" segments. I think a 22 would be all i need to center the tire in the well.

They also make a 21 inch to move the tire back 1inch

I remeasured with tires on and looks like 1/2" longer would be perfect. 21" would be back too far.

They are split mono's. Redrill and put the center pin where you need it. I had to on mine.

if you move the rear end back a full inch the Bar will be and inch too short.. I was comfortable with three quarters of an inch... that was the minimum thread engagement on the Himes that I was comfortable with

I think theres enough to move the rear back 3/8". Thanks for that, didn't even occur to me. The boxes are moved in and welded. Gonna leave as is for now. I'll work next year when I get the bigger tires. thanks

I drilled mine to. It's hard steel, but you can drill it.

I have a drill press and some new drill bits, I will give it a try when I need to. I would like to get a 29" rear tire on it and may give it a try next year or thru the winter months.

I thought forever a 29" tire was needed but after putting on some used 28x10.5's and going an easy 1.33 60, you may re-consider and try the 28's..........it will save ya a bunch of work............. thumbs

Re: Calvert front segment #/lenght - 05/08/17 04:23 PM

right now I have 28x13.50 QTP, but they physically measure 27. would like to have a true 28 tire. figured if I order 29's they would measure 28.

Re: Calvert front segment #/lenght - 05/08/17 06:40 PM

I know the 29" QTP's were closer by a lot than the ET-28's...........
