Flex plate for 99 hemi pro stock motor

Flex plate for 99 hemi pro stock motor - 01/01/17 05:06 AM

Does anyone know of a company that sells a 142 tooth flex plate for the 99 hemi prostock motor? I'm fairly sure it's a 6 bolt chevy pattern on the crankshaft. I've found a starter that works with the flywheel when running a clutch.

If you end up having to have one made try Meziere. They made one for me (R-3 crank with Chevy bolt pattern). It was expensive, but it turned out to be less they work than they estimated and they sent me a refund check!

How many places would do that?

Good Luck!

I'm gathering information for a possible switch to a 99 hemi.

We all want to grow up to be like Hemi Don.haha

Maybe send Allen Johnson or Gaines an email. V is selling a bunch of inventory. We bought some parts from him last month.

I was just checking, because I don't know if Ted is ready for hemi power. He's used to running a wedge and now he wants to hang out with the big boys. LOL

Some place to check is Quick Time. They makes all kinds of flexplates. I did not see anything with 142 teeth ring gear.

This one works if for an R-3 crank with Chevy bolt pattern and a GM convertor.

946 is chevy crank flange 130 tooth with 3 bolt gm converter 10.5" pattern.

947 is 6 bolt mopar

949 is 8 bolt 426 hemi pattern also used on many race cranks.

I try to keep all these in stock.

I had a very poor experience with these folks trying to get a flex plate made. I sent them a new SFI Mopar flex plate requesting the equivalent plate but with a Chevy bolt pattern, this was at their request. They never could deliver and I never could get them to return the flex plate. After many emails and phone calls I just gave up. Seems like a good guy over the phone but he must be terribly disorganized.

Your milage may vary,
Bill
