Hughes CNC head porting

Hughes CNC head porting - 11/03/16 02:10 AM

I live about 2 hours from Hughes. They have a sale going on right now on CNC head porting for Eddy heads. The sale price is just a tad over $1000. It'll cost an extra $100 to get the heads milled to bring the chamber back to 65cc from the 71cc after porting. At .500 lift it shows the flow increasing from 240 cfm stock to around 296 cfm. I'm really thinking hard about but I would have to pull the heads this weekend and run them up on Monday.

The sale is based on the election. If Hillary wins it ends November 9th. If Donald wins it ends December 9th. I figured I'd hedge my bets and get them up there early.

Has anyone run CNC ported Eddy heads?

Ditto.

Cost me $750 to have my Stealths done there. Quick turnaround too!

Supposedly the same program for Eddys and Stealths.

See results below

modern did my heads, they had to change a few valves and weld up some damage in one chamber from a broken ring land. i furnished 2 of the valves and the bill was 980.00. this was last year. i really enjoyed talking to bob on the phone and was happy with the service i received.

Caveat emptor --> Read ALL the details of the sale. scope

Not "misleading", just not what many (most?) people WANT it to mean.

It used to be a better deal when they paid for shipping, too. shruggy

You are correct! You have to click on the banner for the additional information/restrictions etc. But you have to admit the banner makes it sound pretty basic. I'm old enough to know better LOL

Driving a 150+ car to work is work if it's NA.
Turbo: piece of cake.

I don't think that 150 was a drag strip 1/4-mile speed. The exit of turn 9 is very near the start of the drag strip and that speed was probably well past the 1/4 mile speed trap. The drag strip is the straight portion of the road course.

Nice of the OP to bring the sale to our attention but I also know Modern Cylinder Head, as has been mentioned, has some pretty spectacular pricing and results on CNC porting just to be fair.
