Bull Dog Performance Block - 11/01/16 07:01 PM

I see in the NHRA approved products list that Bull Dog Performance has 3 blocks accepted. I can't seem to find any info on them, does anyone know anything?

Never heard of them making blocks, didn't they use to mopar wedge make heads before they went out of business in the early 2000s ?

They may have. I have googled and no info at all, it's a new approval so I would have thought it would be easy to find.

They took a lot of deposits on Buick blocks and delivered very few before going under. Still a open sore in the Buick world. For some reason he refuses to sell the molds that all the deposits paid for.

Yes, do a google search for "Bradshaw Bulldog thief" and see what you get.
It's not pretty. He may have sold the molds but even if he did, the new owners aren't going to make good on his empty promises. And further reading says that he doesn't own anything so even if you got a judgement against him you wouldn't get a nickel.

He didn't sell the molds. He wouldn't sell the molds. A Buick engine builder who was a distributor of his and got burned too wanted to buy the molds and start making the block (sell it for cost to the people who lost deposits). At the time in the Buick world there were no aftermarket blocks so guys were desperate. I think a lot of oldsmobile guys got screwed over as well.

I know a Chicago Mopar performance dealer and speed shop owner that lost $ to him on a Mopar block deal also.

Bulldog Bradshaw was the pattern maker at INDY Cylinder Heads--he parted ways with them and tried his best to do the same thing in the same town with them--I think he hit a buzz saw --You can imagine how that all went down. He was always a pretty good guy to me.
Funny tale--he did raise bull dogs--he sold the "seed" nationwide for artificial insemination--he got it from the dog the old fashioned way---now That is a business I don't want to ever be in--worse than the cylinder heads business LOL!!
