Anyone have pictures of the rasied T/A hood?? - 02/13/09 03:45 PM

I was wondering if any of you guys have pictures of the raised T/A hood. i seen plenty of regular style T/A hoods adn like them but don't know is i would like the taller scoop. This is just a street car but if the rasied hood looks good i might as well get it.

340Rick has one on his car, maybe he will see this thread later today. There is also a raised R/T hood available.

Is that scoop put on a flat hood or does the hood come with the scoop already integrated??? I like that scoop!!!

Dont have any pix but here is the guy that makes them:

Right now all he has is a 6" hood but said he can do any size for additional costs. the one he has now is $750. I saw the hood on a car for sale on RJ and the owner was nice enough to tell me where he got the hood.

I asked him about doing a hood that is 2 or 3 inches higher than stock. Ya, I agree, the 6" one looks a little much, IMHO.

the front scoops are too small IMO for the height of the hood. if the scoops where the same height of the hood like the factory hoods, it would be a winner in my book

Thanks for the pix, Bob. I had only seen one view of the hood before now. If I had him do a hood, i would work with him on the design since he said he would have to do a new mold for anything other than the 6" one. I think i understand why he left the scoops in their stock location. i think i would use more of a "stylized" scoop(s) that suggests the stock shape and locations but blends it in with the raised design better.

Man this is right up my alley

i was going to buy the R/T hood but decided to keep my current T/A hood. I like the R/T hood but Bondo and I agreed that scoops dont match up size wize with the bigger raised hood. Which you could easily modify. But I kinda like the T/A since the new gen challenger has a big T/A hood on it now.

You buy that hood and figure out how to fix it to look right and I will buy the second one from you

Someone makes a raised 73 dart style hood scoop, but I can't remeber who it is

Hopefully it will be at the swap meet this weekend, I want it.
