23psi of boost + Cast Crank = New best!!!!
Went to Milan last night... and the track was GARBAGE. Had to turn the launch WAY down even with the new Pro 275 tires on it. Only went 1.42 60ft, but man is it making some steam now...
60ft - 1.425
330ft - 3.978
660ft - 6.118
660mph - 114.66
1000ft - 7.973
1/4 - 9.552
1/4 MPH - 141.75
My Dad got some Video... I'll try to post it when I get it from him.

Congrats on new best. I seen better days at lapeer than milan. Seems milan doesn't prep much on TNT days.

Re: 23psi of boost + Cast Crank =.....(answer inside!) - 09/17/16 03:31 AM
Here is a crazy thought - have you thought about spraying a small shot on it to get the 60ft down some? I know a lot of that is dependent on track prep or the lack thereof. A local LS tuner loves to spray the sbe Ls engines he tunes and with great results. He typically will leave on a 75 shot and spray it the whole pass. You may not want to push the poor cast crank that far though..

Re: 23psi of boost + Cast Crank =.....(answer inside!) - 09/17/16 06:18 AM
Nice!! I think that really shows what the stock block/crank can do when RPM's are kept low and big power is made via forced induction with a good tune! If your 3750lb car can run mod 9's on those parts it gives me hope that someday my 3550lb
car could possibly run high 9's when I get everything worked out (although the prochargers aren't quite as efficient as the turbo).
What's your take on the strength of the 90's block you have vs the earlier LA blocks?

Great job! You're not too far off from needing a chute at this point, with a cast crank!

Milan tries to run no ET events once a month or so. I don't think it has any payout, you are on your own to set up grudge races.
https://www.facebook.com/MilanDragway/events?key=eventsPayso Productions sometimes sets up races throughout the year if you want some smallblock shootout action:

A 360/5.9Mag has a larger main bearing diameter than a 426 Hemi. That's one way to help out the casting, more overlap.

You really have me wanting to do this to the 360 I just pulled out. Its already got ported Edelbrocks it would just need a piston and cam swap.

Yeah there is no replacement for boost!
Somebody needs to get me a r3 tall deck 59 degree block, and I'll really show you guys what one of these can do! lol
