Thats an awesome truck, you dont see many S/E full size. Note: The Ram hood emblem stayed in tact through all that.
What is the index for M/SA ??

Looks like wheel stud failure because the wheel doesn't look like it has a hub in it.

This happened to a friend of mine this past summer. He draged some water up on his right rear tire. He was ok. He ran 8.27 with some Nos , this run he was hitting it with more , not sure how much spray.

i bet he was popular with all the other racers. we had a similar situation a few years back at our end of season nationals. a harley in the "screaming eagle" class was doing a hollywood burnout when the hogg got away on him. although the rider tried to regain control the hogg hit the tree sending the rider over the bars to hug the tree to the ground. blew up the tree & the timing computer in the tower. all this was on round 1 of eliminations. we carried on with flag drop starts for the rest of the day. no red lights to worry about. the hogg boy in question received a knuckle sandwich from his piers for his efforts.

I was at LACR on New Years Day years ago when KS Pittman brought out his new 33 Willy's...launched..took out the tree and part of the tree hung in the injector...wide open and out of control...ended up doing a wicked 2 wheel 360.

Saw the late Larry Sheay do that down at Assumption with his '65 Hemi Coronet lightweight car. Left lane, broke an axle with the front wheels in the air and over the tree he went. Fortunately he was way late or the tree would have come down on the guy he was running. Didn't put a mark on his car.

My dad was there today, said the funny part was hearing Alan Reinhardt yelling on the mike "Not the Christmas Tree". Went over the K-rail and into the tree, pretty funny to see he said

The truck in question is owned by GTX John Irving
out of Boulder NV. That was the first or second
pass on the truck since he purchased it a few
weeks ago. He should have just brought his Demon
stocker to Pomona. He is sore, but OK other than
than. Broke all 5 wheel studs off the axle.
