Try Glasstek or AAR. Both make some very nice glass parts...can't go wrong with either company.

I'm not sure which automaker first used bucket seats, but suppose it was Ford...if your car has bucket seats (that belong in Fords only, using that train of thought) then you're a hypocrite.
BTW, nearly all automakers make cowl hoods these days.

Longest cowl scoop they've ever built.
Been on the car 3 years, no problems.

on that note Ford used a shaker before Mopar, should we say nice Ford hood next time we see a 'cuda? a 70 RR has a cowlish hood. ANYWAY I had mine made and I think they look good on just about any car.

Mopar Billy, Is it difficult to see the tree when you are in the left lane?

Personally I'm not a fan of cowl hoods on Mopars but to each his own.
One of our buddies has a Duster with a cowl hood on it.
We're always telling him that he has a great looking Nova. whistling laugh2

From what I've read bucket seat were first used in European sports cars after World War II.
As far as what American automaker first used the bucket seat, wouldn't it have been Chevrolet in the 1953 Corvette?
They were out before the 1955 Ford Thunderbird.

Edit:

Here are pics of Bob's Duster with the cowl hood.
I painted/installed the hood and installed the stripes on the car for him.

...

haha...heard that line a few times. I've had both a 4" cowl hood and a '68 Hemi Superstock hood for the Dart...never ever had a problem with the cowl hood wanting to lift off the car. Sold the cowl hood anyway, and have switched to an even taller Hemi scoop (to make room for the tall Indy "3X" intake), and some low brow clown on this site had to let me know how much he didn't like it...and that scoop is about as MoPar as it can get.
yep, to each his own.

I like them, just curious about visibility at the track. Will I see the tree with the scoop or just leave the carb sticking through the hood. I have to use the harwood bolt on 4" as nobody make a glass hood for my car.

1964 Ford Fairlane Thunderbolt had a version of the cowl induction too. One if not the earliest iirc.

Glasstek makes NICE fiberglass hoods. They'll make whatever you want...they all start out as flat hoods, then they mold whatever type of scoop you want on it. They can place it where you want, extend it, etc.
Mine came from them. It's a bolt on and has been on the car for about 13 years I think.

I first saw this car back in the early 2000's at the Mopar nationals and have a picture of it with a full cowl hood, at that time it had the inner headlight holes feeding air, found this picture recently with the cowl cut for a conventional style blower.
