NEW BEST BY A BIT................................ - 01/30/09 08:25 AM

Well, after trying different shift points, shock settings, squirters and hi-speed bleeds I ran my best ever 1.362 60ft and a 6.223 1/8th mile @ 109.07. Seems my car likes 33-34 degs. timing, .035 squirters, no air cleaner and #5 shock settings on my 5-way ranchos leaving at 3000rpms and shifting bet 6500-6700 rpms. I tried 3500 and it spun so I went back to 3000rpms 2 -passes in a row and ran back-to-back 6.22`s @ 109.07 and 109.30 so I`m pleased and hoping for a solid 9-sec. pass soon when I hit a 1/4 mile track. Thankxx for all of your help and thankxx for listning. I couldn`t of done this w/out the help from some friends(Gary and Korey) and John from DragNuts.com(soon to become a member).

Actually tj, I tow it to the track but, have driven it 100 miles at a time here in the hot high desert. Thankxx all for your kind comments and you`ve helped me get there cos I`m to stupid to do this on my own. I ran my 10.09 in the summer of 05 w/an M-1 dommy flange w/a 1 spacer but as I`ve said all along; it`s a 9sec. car w/a 10-sec. driver. Me and my friends want to head to Fomoso soon in a motor home, click off a 9 whatever and party, party, party. Thankxx again........

Thankxx guys.....I hope it runs a 9.8 something and no small blocks for me. I can barely make a big-block run so imagine how slow I`d be with a little motor.

I saw your car run and it runs good!! I wish mine would come alive, I just need to work out the bugs, my 60 foot were off

and my car seem to nose over before the shift light came on @6500
(Fuel maybe)
and I go through the lights in top of second gear.
looks like you got your 9 no problem!!
it was crowed last night. funny how many come up to the line and dont know how to stage there car, I saw one guy stage with his rear wheels, I bet his 60' time were good!!

As far as my license passes, not for a while since I don`t really want to cage my car yet but a buddy of mine has a high 7-sec. 55 chevy and I`m trying to talk him into letting me drive it. Doubtfull but you never know and I`ll drive anything but never own a chevy myself.

We were talking about a 55 7-sec chevy I want to drive. My dart weights roughly 3150 full of fuel w/me ready to race.

Thankxx Cab, I learned from the best. I can`t take but a small amount of credit cos when I tried it my way, it was MUCH slower. I keep hearing people say the track was not that great and I can only imagine what it`ll run when I REALLY hook.

Thankxx guys........my car in the past picked up about 25mph in the second half of the track when it wasn`t quite tuned so we`ll soon see. I have every intention of making the t&t at Fomoso on the 21`st and am hoping for the 9.78 I dreamed about.

Thankxx pittsburghracer, I`m running the hoosier qtp`s in the 29x13.5 size which have 91"`s of circumference and have a bit over 11"`s on a 12" rim. Hopefull the weather will allow me to run the number......I`m jonesing real bad for that 9-sec slip and have been since may of 05.

I guess it`s on you tube and Streetfire.net and Johns an avid mopar man whos first car was a 70 duster and an ex cop but thats another story. I`m sure he`ll be asking for some help w/his blown 1948 austin devon w/a small block chevy...........later.
