They weren't. That's why Jerry Eckman still isn't back. I think they let him on the property now though.

If I recall correctly Jerry Eckmans Pontiac Pro Stock had an explosion in the pits in front of God & Everybody and that is when his N2O was discovered.

Wayne County did have a backfire off the line that was blamed on loose valve guides and I never heard that any inspector found N2O in the debris.

Bob Glidden showed NHRA inspectors where the N2O was hidden in Rusty Glidden's car just to show them where they should look. Some red faces after that
