Finally Got It Fired.... AGAIN

I got it fired up and checked the trans... everything
seems to function fine... I had a few issues that I
screwed up on... I couldnt get fuel pressure on the
gauge... I messed up and put the lines on backwards at
the fender... changed that after loosening the fitting
and spraying fuel...still need to set the timing and hook
up the steering at the rack(I have to pull that to get the
headers in and out).... but it works/runs and the tires turn
in all gears and OD... now to give it a bath and a quick
check over

Was the tranny locking up on you in OD?

It was last time... mess up on assembly... had too many clutch
disc in it and it couldnt release one set when the other
was suppose to come on... it just didnt have any clearance
to release... got it all figured out... finally... it goes
into OD nicely now... I want to get it out on the street
to check the governor shift points... I'm hoping they are
fairly low.. like shift to 2nd at 15 to 18 mph

I want to make the Hines Drive cruise.. that will
be a good test run for it... thats this Saturday...
that will be about 125 miles round trip

Are you sure you remember how to drive one of these hotrods lol

Good to see your back on the road again Mike. Mine won't be leaving the garage this spring. Just hope to have engine built and off Dyno before cold weather gets here.

Believe me.. its been hot here.... but I didnt
have any choice if I want to make drag week.. I
have less than a month to get things sorted out..
and it hasnt been on the track yet... the humidity
here has been up there. along with close to 90*

Glad to know its running again. I hope to light off the new power plant this weekend. See you in St Louis

This was what the front end looked like a month ago...
damn hard to find parts for a 2 door L-body or Rampage
this was a cherry picker failure(the cyl ram gave out
and bent and set the engine on the front end)

I use to work out there every year at the peak of
the heat for fuel hot testing... I'd be out there
over a month out at the proving grounds so I know
the heat... every year the humidity was climbing...
last time I was out there the humidity was up to
35*... no idea what it is now days.. with all the pools
and and all the other things.. I have no clue what it is
now... but its still way lower than here... 65% is a low
day in the summer here.... but I had to work on it.. so
I lost a few pounds LOL ...... Oh my turds... I just cant
stand big boats.... I already have a boat.. but it floats..LOL

Any plans on some 1/4 hits prior to Dragweek?

Yeah....would like to get out next week... I have no
idea on any of the settings on this car... I'm gonna start
with my standard starting points.. maybe start at 14#-15#
on the drag radials... I forgot yesterday to check my
belts to see if they are still good

Mr P body where do you plan on testing it at? Im off work next weekend and would love to see that rampage in action. Its always been a dream of mine since the 80s when DC offered the rwd conversion kit for the fwd platform to do a car like one of yours.......

Drive cruise... I need to get some miles on it so the
injection learns... then the following weekend I'll
hit Lapeer to get some track time.... I forgot.. I
still have to get OKed with the doc to go... I've been
having dizzy spells after my by-pass surgery

Well I had it running most of the day and got the
injection where it needs to be.... I also found a
oil leak at the top of the pass side valve cover...
it drips onto the lip of the intake.. very slow but
its there..I'll pull that off and see whats hitting
