Re: Nick Wilson - 08/10/15 02:05 AM
I've known Nick over 30 years.
Was just there a few weeks ago trying to talk him out of a block he was saving for hemi dart he wanted to build someday.
He told me another couple of years and he was going to "retire" and work on all his cars.
We here were incredibly fortunate to have such a good guy and friend to do our machine work here locally.

Met Nick in 2001. His son and mine played soccer in the yard while I talked w/Nick. Bought many things from him over the yrs. After my son died in 2011 Nick always asked how my wife and I were doing. He was a very caring and genuine person. I will miss him.
RIP Nick you will be missed by many.
Sad to hear this...Nick was a good dude.
RIP
Never met him but I bought a set of T&D rockers for my 440-1 heads from him and we talked on the phone twice. One of the few guys that I never heard a bad word said about and that's tough in the business he was in. Nick, his Family, and Friends are in my thoughts and Prayers.

RIP my friend
At a loss for words right now................
To me Nick was everything that was RIGHT in this sport. Nick was a no BS engine guy and racer that would always help you with parts or service that would only make you go faster.
I have lost a friend that I have learned so much from for the past 30 plus years I have known him.
We will all miss your wheel standing Plymouth at Norwalk this year.

Re: Nick Wilson - 08/10/15 05:08 AM
It's hard to believe, I met Nick 22 years ago. He built me a 440 for my dart when I was pretty young. I'll never forget my Dad calling Nick and saying,"This engine isn't what we thought it would be." Nick was nervous and willing to help out in any way possible. My Dad then followed up with "No, that's not the problem. We're all afraid to drive it!" Since then Nick has built me two additional engines. We recently moved about 5 minutes from CompuFlow. I drove the Dart down just to show Nick it was finally running and street worthy. Still working the bugs out of the car, I was having cooling issues. He insisted he followed me to my house to make sure that I got home alright. Nick was my biggest cheerleader when it came to the car. He will be greatly missed by all. At the Chrylser Classic, he always had his customer appreciation meal. I don't think he knew how much we appreciated him. He was always willing to help out in any way possible. You will be missed Nick. Rest in Piece

RIP Nick.
Nick.
Bring people the backwind in your passing.
You will be missed.
He had done some minor port and valve work on an early motor years back and was very helpful with answering all my concerns.
I know he worked closely with the JDay team in Ohio, another concerned family of Mopar racers.
Aside from that, he and his Son were very applied.
Rest your physical self, but your soul shall travel still.

Re: Nick Wilson - 08/10/15 02:23 PM
RIP Nick. My dealings were limited, but I had planned more in the future. The Mopar community lost a good one.
RIP Nick. He took time out of his day to discuss, in detail, how he would build a 400-based stroker for my Scamp. He knew I was on the fence with regard to keeping the car/building the engine vs. selling the car, but he still spent time discussing details, options, costs, etc... He didn't have to do that, but he did, and he was gracious about it. That's service that is hard to find these days. A true credit to the car community in general.
Very sorry to hear this. Only spoke w/ him once when I bought my hemi headers from him...one heck of a nice guy to deal with.

Re: Nick Wilson - 08/10/15 05:12 PM
Knowing Nick had health issues for a number of years I still can't believe he's gone
I first met Nick back in the 80's when he was buying valve seals from our family business and it didn't take long for us to become friends. Later I found out he used to own my Barracuda. Just this June Nick helped me out with modifying an intake valve for my motor and ordered some gaskets. I thanked him for his help and business at the time but wanted to give him a call to let him know everything was A-OK, the motor was back together and thank him again, guess I'll have to wait for that.
God speed Nick and prayers for his family & friends

If never met him and never heard anything but good things about him.
RIP
Nick was truly one of the most genuine people I have ever met. No matter what was going on he would talk and answer questions or give advice. As a person he was great. As a business man he was the best. He always gave all options and explained his ideas. I will miss speaking to him. When I called the shop today and spoke with his son and received the news I was at a total loss for words. My you find peace and your family find closure with your loss. Your friend Joe from philly.

Re: Nick Wilson - 08/21/15 01:52 PM
I am both saddened & stunned. Nick built the 520" engine in my SuperCar legal '68 Sport Fury. Met him at Carlisle a few years ago when I took delivery of that engine.
My thoughts are with his family.

Re: Nick Wilson - 08/22/15 04:58 PM
RIP Nick.
I'm really gonna miss driving over to visit Nick on my day off just to drool over some of the engines in the build room/office. While there are other builders and cylinder head porters out there Nick was unique because he raced in the class that he built engines for.
His presence in the pits at Norwalk this year will be felt by everyone.

I didn't know Nick well,But I did know him for 28
years.In 1987 my brother was converting a 318 satellite
to 440 power and he bought most of the stuff from Nick.
At the time he lived in North Ridgeville and he had a barn
full of Mopar stuff. I remember being really Impressed
by this total Mopar freak. I'll miss him. RIP
