Good shocks for use with s/s springs and lowering blocks? - 05/28/15 03:17 AM

I have a street strip '69 Roadrunner with a Dana 60, superstock springs and lowering blocks to achieve.stock ride height. I know it's old school but I'm not changing it now. Does anybody know what a good shock is that will work on the street and be long enough to accommodate the lowering blocks? Or does it matter?

Since the shock mount is under the spring, and the lowering block is on top of the spring, the shock needed will be the same. All you are doing is moving the axle up.

Since I'm cheap and don't want to pay a ridiculous price for the MP long shocks, I use a 72-80 1/2 ton pickup rear gas shock to get the extended length. It's a bolt on for b-bodies, and an upper bushing change on a-bodies.
