Not sure if the NHRA approves of wrap around for the shoulder belts, see picture attached. If need be I will weld tabs to the cross bar and bolt them in, but hate to weld in a done interior.

Need something to keep belts from sliding. Most have a
metal "hoop" welded on the bar for that purpose.

There's also a prescribed way to route the belt through the metal adjuster....

Yep, before I welded the hoops on back of the bar, the belts would slide off my shoulders. A tech once told me I could use two hose clamps on the back bar to position straps but there are cleaner ways. Also, I run the strap opposite yours so the loose end of strap comes out underneath the buckle and drops to the floor behind the seat twocents thumbs

http://www.schroth.com/installation-instructions/en/05_restraint_installation.htm

on the bracket you could fab something up on the bench and use a "split collar" type mount and bolt it to the bar... something like the "grab handle" shown in this link...

Oh, I like these a LOT: http://www.fourtreks.com/modular_clamp_rings.html

When I talked w/ a local race car supplier about replacing my expired belt, they suggested a wrap-around style, but I balked 'cuz I have a tab mounted on my 'bar and wanted to still use that.

However, I think the wrap-around style secured w/ those clamp rings might be an improvement, since it would allow me to better position how the rear straps come around from the back of my OEM E-body high-back bucket seat.

Thanks for the link! up
