I was told that while the Hemi mount bosses are on them, they just aren't drilled and tapped for the studs which is an easy fix.
It's not that easy , they aren't machined to dimension either.
I agree, even though they have the flat area for the hemi mount they may need to be machined to fit the mount or the mount cut to fit the flat area. The wedge style mounts on a hemi block was someones' wet dream. They may have had the hemi/wedge conversion kits in mind but gave no consideration for the exhaust system. As far as I'am concerned engine plate is the way to go unless your a purist doing a hi-end resto.
We had wedge block that had the hemi mount area that constantly threw oil out at high RPMs.After a few seasons of frustration chasing the leak it was finally found. At the front corner on the drivers side the deck was drilled for the hemi oil drain back hole and the wedge gasket and head didn't cover it.These are just a few of Mopar screw-ups back in the days.
