Want some new rims. What do you think would look good? - 02/16/15 06:29 PM

Its been a hard cold winter here in Ontario.

So just for fun, any ideas for rims that would look decent, different, extraordinary
I want to change my rims to sometime different, that would be good for both street and strip.
The car it mini tubbed so I can fit a bigger rear tire.
I have an intercooler pipe that goes into the front fender and the front tire just touchers it on a complete lock of the steering so I need a narrower front tire Probably 3.5 inch or spaced closer to the fender.

Well, you did say "just for fun". These are race-only, not street legal, but Holeshot Wheels has a wide variety of designs and offsets to give you something to think about - especially if you ever decide to go race only.

WELD RODLITES....A local racer with a 68 hemi RR has them on his car and they look great...

I bought them for my Road Runner, and could not be happier. Thinking of sending the rear to Champion for double beadlocks.

I talked to a rep at Orlando this weekend and he said they are discontinuing certain sizes oof Pro5's, so if there is a size you can use, get them while you can.

Those are sweet but $389 each for 15x3.5
they'r not going to be in my near future.

We had Cragars on the RR but changed them to these and Love the new look.
Even the woman likes them now. She wasn't sure she would like them over the Cragars but now she won't give them back. She has worn the tires out in 1 year of use. Lol

I agree. I love these wheels even though I have never had them on anything I have owned. Always factory wheels or Cragar S/S's on my cars. Mixed things up alittle on my Challenger with some Weld Magnum 2.0's since it will be mostly a drag car. I wasn't too sure I would like a newer style wheel on an older car but they have grown on me now.

I just upgraded my wheels this winter, I went with Billet Specialties Pro Comp and then send them to Champion to get the outsides bead-locked.

Champion did an awesome job!

Now we can mount and balance the slicks ourselves (bubble balance from Harbor Freight)
