Sometimes you are stuck with what you can get. I'm 90% sure those are fenderwell headers. It is what it is.

I would spend some serious time researching headers. There is a TON of crap out there (step headers being one of them) that is being foisted on the public. If you google headers by ed you can go to his site and read and learn. There are other sites as well.

The main issue on headers is if you are buying a shelf
header it isnt for your engine in most cases... every
header that I tested that was a shelf header, the
primaries are the wrong length.. they arent equal length
and the collector is too small in diameter and length...
if you want more power you would be better off getting
the headers made for your engine

IMO this Hedman is the best off the shelf header for the B/RB A Body's. I've had the Hookers. They are known for cracking at the flange as mine did.

If I were at home I could run your engine through
my header program to tell you what you need... but
I wont be home for a while... I think a few of the
other guys have the same program

Proparts are awesome and very easy to install! Two pipes exit drivers side and one pipe passenger side

Have you ran the 2 inch tube TTI headers? Just wonder how they would compare to the headmans? I am building a big block 73 duster and am wondering if it would be worth the money to switch to the headmans. Also I still have my inner fenders so how is spark plug access on your headers?? Thanks mopar65

Wow nice header there! They make them for small and big blocks. I would have really cried if those were the headers I crushed in the wheelie.

LOL, yes the novelty and coolness of big wheelstands wears off quickly after damaging a few pans and headers! Don't ask me how I know.

I have not run the TTi's and have never seen a listing for the primary tube length's

The Hedman's have IIRC 37"-38" primary length and the Hookers are around 43". For an off the shelf fenderwell exit header the Hedman's are hard to beat. Plug access is decent by reaching from the front of the engine, no access directly from the top.

It's up to you if you want to your fenderwells

Thanks for the info.I don't have a problem cutting the inner fenders.just trying to figure out if it would worth it money wise for me to switch. Also how is the tire clearance compared to the hookers?

I have Mad Dog headers on my Dart and I like them. They are 2"x3.5" under chassis.

that IS stainless.....

I'm very fortunate to live 40 miles from Greg Holman at REF Unlimited (Kingman AZ). That's all he does is makes headers. Call him up, he tells you what day to show up, drop the car off, pick it up at the end of the day DONE! Mine were $1600. Fit the car like no other, install with engine mounted in car. Great stuff

I'll post the link again. I believe the only off the shelf fenderwell race headers for BB A Bodies offered are from Hooker or Hedman.
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/hed-75161/overview/year/1968/make/dodge/model/dart

I like them much better than the Hookers they replaced.

Tire clearance is always an issue but then again it's a drag race header
On the street I just plan ahead
