Best Intake Manifold? - 11/04/14 01:48 AM

OK, I'm sure this topic has been kicked around before but...: What is the best intake manifold for an rb block @ 500 ci with a dominator?

Super Victor is 4500 and offered in standard and Max wedge.

Low deck here but the Victor/adapter was faster/better then the M-1 for me at that time. Plus of course the "treatment" on the dommy will finish it off.

B1-BS heads. Whose 4500 adapter? Doesn't the manifold come with a dominator stud pattern or is the adapter to optimize airflow distribution? I gotta put on my T-Stop too, don't want an adapter if I can avoid having things stacked too tall for current hoodscoop. Thanks for the input

The Victor is 4150 only. Need adapter to run a Dominator, or run a super Victor which is 4500, has more plenum volume too.

When I use a Dominator on a 4150 manifold, I get 4 aluminum bolts and tighten them in to the bolt holes. The cut them flush and drill and tap the Dominator pattern. Studs are a little safer here, but not required.

OK,.. adapter makes sense for a 4150 flanged 'Victor' intake manifold. I see 'Super Victor' as the winner with my using a T-Stop. Thanks Guys

Super Victor is probably the best 4500 intake with std ports but the M1 4500 is also a very good intake. The M1 4500 is shorter than the Super Victor so you'll have more room under the hood. There doesn't seem to be a lot of people who use the M1 4500 but I've found that it makes pretty good power.

I use a mopar 337 intake with a dominator adapter. Very good intake and the built in valley tray is a nice feature. As cast the ports are in between std and MW.
