I have been re-arranging and loading some pics on my new computer, my old one died and I lost a BUNCH of older pics. I ran across this one from a few years back. There is something wrong in the pic,,,can you see what??? Hint::: Strap rigging.

Went to all that work to put the brakes on only to take them all back off so you could get the strap back. The best i can do is try to limit the number of times i make myself have to do things twice.

At that point I'd cut the straps off and buy new ones.

That strap was never designed to be used like that. Both loops on each end should on the hook and the load supported by the strap looped. You need two straps to lift that load.

THAT'S what I did!!! That strap/sling had been on that housing during the build/assembly and just seemed to be handy every time I moved it,,,UNTILL,,I got ready to put the rear in the car!!!

OSHA doesn't check on me too often,,,I do understand your point, but that sling will lift WAY more than that rear weighs.

You could've left it on and used it to tie the car down .

Next time tie a Bowline knot on each end and you will have a loop that does not get tight. All you do after that is untie it.
