Well it is official, we have gone to the darkside. Everyone let me introduce you to the newest member of the racing family here. She is a 235" long 1872lb(with driver)bouncing baby Racetech 4link car with a 557" BB Mopar. We plan to have a little fun with it for awhile then????
Anyway here she is..

Beautiful Car! Racetech from North Carolina is one of the most respected dragster makers out there--Those cars win $$$ and races--and resale is better than many others--They are Nice! Congrats!

As to the question on the Stratus well it is moving along just slow going as we have decided to do it once and do it right. Likely crazy paint and all. Anyone who knows me probably figured it would be that way from the get go, but I kept telling myself to just get it done and run it. But alas the other side of me has taken over and things are getting carried away. I can tell you know changing a car from a Pro Stock car to even a TS car takes a lot of changes and that mean a lot of $$$ But rest assured we are making progress on it.

You will like it once you get used to it.Not a bad weight for a 4-link car.My red HT dragster with me in it was 1675 lbs,my 245 Mullis 4-link with the steel block is right at 2,000 lbs with me in it and my new Mullis with the all aluminum engine is 1886 lbs with me in it.Both mine are 245"wb.Save yourself some trouble if it does not have them already put the 34.5-17-16 not the 33.5-17-16 tires on back.I have been racing dragsters since either 1992 or 93.And will help you if you have any problems just like I would anyone else.

Jeez Al,when you said "Dark Side" I thought maybe it had a Cheby engine in it or something! At least it is a Mopar and it looks like it might be a lot of fun. Good luck with it and keep us updated.

The guy who used to do my transmissions ran a dragster in Super Comp and tried forever to get me in one.
His claim that they run straight as a string is pretty much true , but it meant I'd have to stop cutting up nice clean steel bodies and I wasn't prepared to make that sacrifice.
Great looking car.

Tom that is the best answer to the question on Dragster VS Door-Cars ever! The only thing I don't like about it is I did not come up with it myself.

Well you know I have always been told you can take a good door car racer put him in a dragster and they become a great driver. Take a great dragster driver an put him in a door car and he cant find is a$$ with either hand. Just what I have heard
As for the peanut gallery what can I say
For those who think I am a pipe rack guy have no fear the door cars are here.....

I wish I could be there, believe me. My car doesn't tend to have great traction when the air is cold and with the Predator, it will probably be worse. Also, I won't be getting back from a cruise until the Tuesday before the race.

Al,.. Good looking dragster. You going to run Brackets or S/Comp, T/S .. both?? Bring the dragster out to Sac for New Years Day. Sac is getting new tack surface and timing system according to Jesse Adams.

David we will run it in brackets and probably S/C as well. We already installed the stop
As for Sac Raceway. Glad to see they will hopefully finally address some of the issues they have had over the years. Not sure we will make it there. We will be relocating to Washington DC in January. So all the racing will be cut WAY back while we try to maintain two homes for the next 3 years til my wife retires from the USAF.

All the racecars will be in Vegas. Hopefully with this I can get the other car done in the next couple years. This will be a bit of a financial hit but racecars are always a separate pot of money anyway.
