Tore that Daytona Pro Mod up,but hes lucky that it didn't flip and roll.It cane to a stop right in front of where we were standing, driver had to get out of the passenger side.

After round 3 Erica remains at the top of the heap the 6.51 still stands.

I am no fan of Ford, but Morgan makes good points. The three top classes TF, FC and PS are completely out of hand as far as costs go. Gone are the days of the maverick racer. You start with a million bucks and hope somebody steps up to sponsor you before its gone. NHRA is in trouble, have you seen the empty seats in the stands? The same high dollar teams win week after week, its getting to be almost scripted. I really miss the old Super Stock/Pro stock wars with almost stock bodied cars. TF and FC have there own following and thats fine. But for the most part the fans leave the bleachers after the Nitro cars.

You should have seen the stands during Sunday's eliminations at the recent NMCA race in Norwalk, 70-80 or so total in the stands on both sides during the entire first round.

The fans came to see the big show over 50,000 at GMP this weekend .But once in the gate they have your money so make the best of it it a great exsperince for most .
Just the way it is .Bracket racing is the redheaded step child for most of the big tracks .

Morgan may be the nicest guy in the world, but he has always been an underachiever with the resources given him. On top of that he jumps ship at the drop of hat which could factor in to his inability to get funding. Maybe he should have talked to Glidden before jumping on the Ford bandwagon.

Running in the premier carbs and gas class has always cost a lot of money to be a top tier player, pretty much the same as any heads-up class.

People like to lament about the "Good old days" when P/S had a 32 car field, but forget that one of the main reasons we don't have them anymore was because there were usually 8 fast cars, 12 middle cars that could win with a lot of luck, and 12 field fillers who basically gave a first round bye to their opponent. Factor in the ever changing rules and weight breaks where your combo was hot today and a turd tomorrow......
