the main stud torque is stamped on the bottom of the block in the corner. Head studs/bolts go by what you are using

90lbs on the vertical caps, 80lbs on the horizontal. ARP head studs we do at 75lbs.

Do the head studs go into the block ~1" (like an iron block) or do you use other studs to get more threads in the aluminum block?

they use the same studs as you've shown Jim, i just measured the holes in my block & they seem to average out at 0.995-0.998 deep. it's the 0.900 end that goes into the block, not the 1.000 end.

Just to be clear, it depends if you measure the coarse thread to the end of the threads or the bevel (.9 to 1.0).

I asked because the KB block has studs with about 1.75" on the coarse end. But the block has a counterbore about 0.25" and the studs have a small stand off on the end, so less than 1.75" is engaged in the block threads but much more than 1"
