Mopar Max at Cedar Falls Raceway Sept 27th&28th. - 08/26/14 10:03 PM

Rick K. from North Iowa Mopars just stopped by and dropped off flyers for the Mopar Max Races and show at Cedar Falls Raceway here in Iowa. He also passed the out at the Mopars on the Mississippi show. Like I said in an earlier post Cedar Falls management is a little slow getting their website updated. Looks like it is the same prices as last year.
Super Pro/Pro-ET Combo 6.50-13.99
Winner 1000.00
Runner Up 400.00
If more than 80 entries 1500.00/750.00
Entry is 65.00 per day or 125.00 for both days.
Sportsman 12.50-15.99
Must be Mopar powered. No Delay boxes. Trans brake and two-steps ok.
Winner 250.00 Runner Up 100.00
Entry Fee is 40.00 per day or 75.00 for both days.
If more than 80 entries 500.00 runner Up 200.00
Mopar Muscle
Must be Mopar powered. Street legal cars or trucks
Winner Huge trophy
Runner Up Trophy
Entry fee 30.00 per day or 50.00 for both days
Saturday car show hosted by North Iowa Mopars
30.00for cars and two people
Hours of operation Friday tnt tba..
Saturday gates are at 8.00am with time trials starting at 10.00 am. Eliminations following 2 time trials.
10.00am-2.00 pm car show with awards at 2.15
Swap meet all day
Sunday gates open at 8.00am with time trials at 10.00. eliminations after 2 time trials.
Swap meet all day!
Admission fees
Friday 8.00 adults
3 day pass 30.00
Saturday adults 15.00
2 day pass 25.00

I plan on going, will be a first outing with the Asspen. Hope to have a set of 4.10's in it by then, if not the 3.55's will have to work.

Thank you John! It is all about racing and good friends! Just think...A year ago I did not think I would be here for this one! My goal is to get cleared if all goes well I will be back in my car by next fall.

I'm going there on the 4th of October for a radial tire race. Could anyone tell me how the bathroom and shower facilities are? It'll help me decide if I'm taking my trailer or borrowing my dad's trailer. Thanks, Clint

The weather turned out great .Had some $1 tall boys and took in the show.I think there were around 40 cars in the show

I saw that! We did not do too good racing but nothing broke. My wife and I spent our 39th anniversary at the track! It was a nice day!

It was a good day for racing. I only managed to runner up in sportsman. I'll just have to try harder Sunday.

It was a good time, nice weather for sure. Drove 90 miles with my son at the wheel, dropped air pressure and he ran a 13.66. Pretty decent for a street car, no seat time and a $3,200 investment. Must of ran something over as we had a leaking rear tire, stuck a plug in it and drove 90 miles home.

Cool! I had no clue that you worked there! Good thing my wife drove. I think we clocked 150 miles for a round trip. It is indeed a small world! If I find anything out about those cars you mentioned do you want me to let you know?

It sure is a small world! I talked to my brother yesterday, he knows the guy in Lime Springs pretty well, in fact he just talked to him last week. He said he still has the cars and they are stored in a shed some where. He was going to call him for me and ask him about some rear gears. Thanks though.

You ran a tan Aspen in the final Saturday? That was my buddy Mike Evans' Slant car.

Ted, after spending the weekend at Clay City my buddy Seymour and I decided we're doing Cedar Falls next year. Clay City has become too much of a clusterflock. We will try to drag a few more cars with us too.

Mike is a tough competiter, and the car runs very well. I'm always a bit awestruck with it. Hope you can make it in the future.

Bill! It was a real pleasure to see you again. It sucks that you can't get a license anymore and sold your car. I know it is in good hands and Corey will treat it well! I am looking forward to getting back to 100% and lining up with him!

It's an honor to own such a great car! Still riding that adrenaline rush from this weekend and hope to have it out one or two more times before the seasons up. Looking forward to getting some experience under my belt and start getting some consistency.
