I have to have it down by the shifter to be anywhere near consistent. If it is on the wheel, I'm a complete disaster.

Mine is on the shifter rail (turbo action) but rear and outside right. Easier to find/use with gloves on. I'm like Mopar Billy, if it's on the steering wheel I am horrible for consistency.

My Demon has the button on the left side of the wheel and I HATE it there. I want to put it behind the shifter so I am not tempted to hold the shifter on the launch cause it causes me to hit 2nd immediately from the "throwback" when the car hits me.

Mine is up on the dash. I prefer to leave off my right hand, so I didn't want it on the left side of the wheel.

Which makes it interesting... because the pushbutton shifter is on the left side, so I have to switch hands on the wheel before the 1/2 shift!

Right side of the steering wheel for me. I have tried it in a few places and this is the most consistent for me. I also prefer my arms be outstretched a bit in the car. I see a lot of guys that seem to prefer Nascar style seating positions with the wheel right up on them. I wonder if this has any bearing on consistency with button release?!?

My arms are out a ways(almost straight) but I rest my
left elbow on the door edge to stay steady and more
relacked.. and I'm left handed so the left side of
the wheel works for me.. then I have my right hand
on the shifter because I have to hit second about
40'-50' out while its still in the air

Right side on the steering wheel. It's been so long, I had to think about it.

I have been able to go red from the button on TurboAction Shifter's so have not experimented with other locations or switches.

Just make sure you have your hand off the shifter when the shift solenoid "kicks".

It is also handy when it comes to backing up when you have a pro brake.

That Cheetah SCS is the reason I have a note on my dash saying "HANDS OFF SHIFTER" cause there is no ratchet or any kinda restriction between 1-2 and if my hand is on the shifter it will go into 2nd at the hit. I also find that with my left hand doing the death grip on the wheel my wore out thumb isn't very reactive. Maybe a right hand button on the wheel would work but I think a switch behind the shifter would be best for me.

Thanks guys. Mine is on the left on the wheel. My lights have been all over the place. I am gonna move it around to see what happens.
