Re: Finally got my car going - 07/02/14 02:07 AM

It's the dominator ecu, I believe, I get the two mixed up all the time but its the one with more inputs and outputs. A Wilson 105mm throttle body and an elbow from 6061.com. The Procharger bracket is from the supercharger store, I think that you could modify a small block chevy one to work if you had the two of them side by side. Its a stock type suspension car, I've fought with getting it to hook for a couple of seasons so it seemed like a good idea to upgrade to a f2, lol

I ended up getting a new set from Indy, a bare set and had Indy port them. Then Indy shipped them to my new engine/head guy and they port matched them to my intake and swapped the valves over. So now I have a ported set that I'm not sure what I'm going to do with (old heads)

My wife and I bought that last year so we could actually cruise some. Its a 33 with a mild 440, 727 and 9" rear. Its all steel, not a perfect show car but we're not afraid to drive it in the rain either, lol. I have some pics in the street rodders section also.

Trust me its crossed my mind . One problem with that tho is that the firewall has the brake booster molded into it, there no way a hemi head will clear. It's nice to just hop in it and go for a spin, very low maintenance, that's what I'm looking for at the moment.

Heres a link to my 33

You have it on the dyno yet? How much boost you building?

When I first got it together it had a F1R and a 12 rib belt. At 6700 rpm the belt would slip, 16-17 lbs of boost, it made 1088 horse. When I got it home I pulled the intake because of a leak and found that 2 pushrods where eating the balls off the ends of them, thus affecting the lash. So what it'll make with the f2? I'm hoping that with the pulleys on it it'll be between 16-20 lbs of boost now.

Re: Finally got my car going - 07/07/14 02:01 AM

I got to run my Dart this weekend. Friday I had 3 passes, 1st one just ran it thru first to check it out some. 2nd it stripped the teeth off the belt, and 3rd it blew the charge tube apart at a connecter. I got that fixed Friday night and got 2 passes on Sat. The first pass it went 1.34 in 60', I'm pretty sure it was still on the back tires, and blew another belt at the 330', went 9.93 at 120. When I got back to the pits I found that it had pulled some threads out of the head where the procharger bracket fastened, allowing the procharger to drop down about an 1&1/2" That pass I had shifted at 6000 because I was worried how much boost it would make. When I checked the data logger I found it made 25 lbs of boost. Since it was only for a second I figured I'd switch to my bigger blower pulley. We got everything fixed and made the second pass. It went 1.37 60' and 9.03@148 that pass . The belt stayed on and we thought it was good. When we looked at the logger this time tho it made 25lbs of boost at 6800 and was going lean at the top of each gear. I talked to Ryan at Steve Morris that night and we came to the conclusion the fuel pump won't keep up with that much power. I think for now we will slow the blower down to only make 18-20 lbs of boost for now. It was really nice that the suspension finally worked to, I only foot braked this weekend, hopefully it'll still work when I go to the t-brake. Just wanted to update you guys and thanks again to those who have helped me, Clint
