Baseline jetting suggestions? - 06/15/14 04:18 PM
Ordered 770 Ultra Street Avenger vac secondary carb. Might throw it on today. Car ran 11.20s at 119 with current 750 double pump worked by local carb shop to be a "race" carb. That's too fast for Sportsman class and too fast for no roll cage. Car is 95% street driven at this point, so hoping this new carb will be a little friendlier and possibly slow it down a bit. It's brand new in the box right now, and have no idea what jets are in it. Any suggestions for a safe front and rear jet to start with?
69 Cuda. 3500 lbs with driver.
418 stroker 10.3:1 comp (pump gas)
Fully CNC'd Eddy Heads from Hughes.
Ported Airgap intake.
248/252 .600/.610 solid cam
Holley 750 modded to flow 910 CFM
MSD E-Curve dist with 6-AL
TTI torque stepped headers w/ Ultra Flo mufflers
3:91 727 Tight 10" converter.
For what it's worth, a local car show had a portable dyno that seemed to think the car puts down 485 HP at the wheels and around 450 ft lbs at the wheels.
Thanks
