Wonder what gaskets this uses? 355cc ports. Flows almost like a B-1. I have a set of Victors and a 4.5" crank cooling in my basement, I might have to send the heads to Hughes and see how they turn out. S/F....Ken M

Better if sent to Todd at Marsh Performance a sponspor here he made 1000HP with them this year on a very stingy dyno--call him first--you won't regret it. Moparts Connection/ Todd Marsh
Victors are something he has figured out a long time ago--Todds porter has won Daytona 500 several times--he Knows heads period!

The flow @ .400" has me very suspicious. J.Rob

If that's "for real" that's very good

IIRC my Chapman 285's flowed around:

285 @.400
335 @.500
361 @.600
381 @.750-.800

We are also a sponsor here at Moparts and have been for many years. Our flow numbers are real. These heads work really, really well. The intake ports are the standard Max Wedge dimensions.

What is the deal with 4.400 bore then? Mine is 4.500

From your website: " Hughes Engines is now offering Edelbrock VictorŽ heads with Monster Max Wedge intake ports. These C.N.C. ports will outflow any other head on the market, without relocated valves! And, that's not all. How does a "Monster" 355cc port volume sound? If you are running a 4.400" or smaller bore, large cubic inch engine that is 500+ cubic inches, or a high RPM 440 and you need more air, then you need "Monster Max Wedge Heads". "

What size intake valves were they on those heads?

The 4.400 or smaller bore size is probably a typo. I'm sure that Hughes ment to say 4.400 bore size or larger

The MCH version, big valves, big ports.

Issue is
How to keep intake gasket from sucking thru

MCH did a set of Buick heads for me that were that thin and I never had a problem.
