Jerry Lozon - Milan Dragway Fundraiser April 13

Jerry is one of the good guys always helping whoever including his support of the junior dragster program at Milan. It's time to return the favor to him in a time of need. Mods can you sticky this for a week?

"“Looking Out for the Lozons,” a fundraiser for Southgate natives Jerry and Holly Lozon, takes place from 2 to 7 p.m. April 13 at Crystal Gardens, 16703 Fort St., Southgate.

Jerry Lozon was a race official for about 20 years at Milan Dragway and helped hundreds of children become involved in the junior dragster program.

A surgery gone wrong left his wife, Holly, paralyzed and she faces years of therapy as a result. The family has encountered a large financial burden of medical bills since the surgery.

The fundraiser will feature a pasta dinner from 3 to 5 p.m., along with a tech card race, raffles, a bake sale and more.

Proceeds will help the Lozons, who currently live in Monroe, with medical bills.

I know all about medical bills and it sucks! My legs are only about 70% now. Yes...He seems like he did a lot for the sport and getting the kids involved. I see no problem and best of luck! Ted

Just stopped by to get some trailer parts 2 weeks ago. he gave me the full story. Even in tragedy he's a very upbeat guy. I'll order a ticket for sure. My prayers are with him and his family.
