Famosa has become our favorite track. Not much to look at but always has bite. For the record the car ran 4.26/183 on the last pass we made. We are racing in Sacramento this weekend and hopefully those numbers improve. Car has been 4.06/190 best.

Famoso is a beautiful facility in my eyes..... as long as the breeze is in the right direction!

VERY nice and VERY fast. Looks like the car and driver are making those passes effortlessly. Can you give us some engine details again?

BAE 499 assembled by Jason Pettis on methanol. 136 Procharger gives us 50+ pounds of boost. We use Ross pistons, Bryant billet crank and BME aluminum rods. Comp cam. Jesel lifters. Makes about 3200 HP.

Boy that car stages nice with the procharger. Sure seems smooth compared to a turbo set-up. Good-luck this year.

Famoso is the best preped track out west HANDS DOWN .... all concrete....wide...smooth...and FAST !....Sacramento did "some" work....new timing system mainly....big changes are in store at Sac in the future supposedly.

Rossler
We are converting one for 2nd gear leave to give the theory of less transmission gear/more differential gear a try. Most of our races are 1/8 mile now so we really don't need 3 speeds.

Actually all of that footage was taken on Saturday when we were trying different fuel maps. We got it cleaned up on Sunday. It was still blowing through the converter pretty badly when we left and from that made some changes for Sacramento. We actually won the Sac race but there were only 3 Outlaw cars and the racing surface was miserable so we couldn't tell if the converter changes we did helped.

The track was slick but that wasn't the fault of the management. They really tried hard. I talked to the owner and he said the big improvement is waiting on a permit from the city but it's still in limbo. The air is unbelievable up there so if they ever get the track sorted out it will be very fast.

Are you thinking about Doorwarz at Mission?.

Re: I Think we Have Some Followers Here. - 03/25/14 04:43 AM

Not looking good right now. Doug just moved his collision shop to another city and he is trying to get the new location off of the ground. With Doug, however, I have learned to never say never. We do owe Ken Sihota a little payback for his whipping us twice last year so who knows?

It would be cool to see your car at this event, but if it doesn't pan out...so be it.

Best of luck this year.
