2009 SRT8 Challenger 572ci Blown Hemi - 12/01/13 02:42 AM
Just came across this video.
I was thinking of doing this back in 2008. Bucky Hess and I were measuring Tom's Challenger trying to figure out if it would fit... I guess it does

I guess it does fit if you get rid of the radiator...

Someone will be here soon saying that blowing a Hemi that big is just dumb and stupid.

It is, he would need an 18/71 for that many cubes or a screw blower. It's not efficient for performance. I am sure he is more than happy with the power it has.
Tell that to Chris Caddotto and Tim Banning." FHO" built Chris's 588" blown Hemi and he ran a 6.99. Tim Banning also recommended the 588" blown Hemi that "Performance Only" is building for me.

I didn't know he made it into the 6's on his Stage V Hemi. Last time I saw him with that motor he was running 7.80's on alcohol on 34.5x17-16 Hoosiers at 3500lbs. I believe he had already switched to the BAE Hemi by the time he ran 6's.
Roots blower are a constant displacement blower, unlike screw blowers. They become less efficient the larger the motor to blower size. They still work but they build more heat do to scavenging.

I just got the low down from Chris and yes he is running the BAE 526". I stand corrected..... my apologizes. He said he was running the 588 when he was running on the street.

so did he run the thing or just take it to the track, pull it out the trailer to amuse people in the pits? cool idea, but those new bodies just don't do it for me in any way shape or form for being a hotrod or race car. they look good in stock street form though. just me

I am pretty sure it makes no less than 1000lb/ft from 2000-6000rpm which is mind boggling. Nelson's engines are more for show cars that are not raced.

Performance Only built Jimmy's 572ci Screw Blown EFI street Hemi if I am not mistaken. Grant it was on alcohol, but it made 2000hp sneezing. Your in good hands.

That's a local shop to me that built that. It's pretty sick. They also have a twin turbo Challenger that is a sleeper from the outside. Inside is actually all stock too on it. They started up a couple years back and just moved into a bigger building. Put a sway bar in on my super bee.
Super cool group of people
