The snowball effect Charger

The snowball effect Charger - 12/01/13 02:41 AM

I have had several people ask me about an engine I built for a customer last year. It was a 440 budget build that I did using Edelbrock heads and a Hughes Whiplash cam.
After tuning it made pretty impressive numbers.
I ended up building a 727 and spec'd a convertor also.
After delivery of the engine and trans package,my customer had his engine bay soda blasted and then the project came to a halt.
I recently picked up the car along with the rest of his parts to put his car back together .
Here is a before shot of the engine bay.

Re: The snowball effect Charger - 12/01/13 03:02 AM

Since people have been asking how my customer liked his engine when it was back in the car, and it has been over a year I decided to help him out and get it back on the road.
We will have it at the strip this spring , seeing how well it outperforms the old iron headed MP 484 cam. Swill have to get an old timeslip from him but I believe his best pass was a 14.25 before

I will be posting some more progress over the next couple of days.

That settles it! I need to send my engine to Keith this year, then send him the car the following year!

Fabbed up mounts for the aluminum radiator and added the customers stainless hoses

While fitting the exhaust to the new TTI headers, I got rid of someone's attempt at installing cutouts. 3" pipe with 2 1/2" cutouts wedged in and welded before.

And add some 02 sensor bungs in case any future upgrades warrant retuning.
