I noticed that looks to have clutch and it has a delay box mounted in it. How does that work? Car looks great. I have been thinking about a 5 speed liberty top sportsman car but not sure how competitive it would be.

It looks and sounds great Johnny. What was the best pass 1/4, or were you able to make a full pass in the 1/4? Looks like you shut off way early at 7.57@154?

John has an air operated clutch release that will hold the clutch down until power is cut off so he can use the delay box to leave off of the top bulb.

BB mopar motor's usually do 0 for me.In all honesty that motor is just a sexy lookin and sweet sounding bb.Glad u got her done John.

hey guys it went a 1.084 60 ft 3.134 330 ft 4.801 660 ft 148.33 mph at the 660 and 6.23 to the 1000ft clicking the motor off at 5.941 into the run.im running q16 so I wanted to get the jetting right.i have not made a all out pass yet.it went 4.75 at Norwalk.after looking at the racepak I was slipping the clutch.i also need to change the gearing in the lenco it pulls the motor down 2000 rpm on the gear changes.i cant see the shift light when I pull it its at 8200.the car weighs 2550 with me in it ,im going to try and get some weight out. we will see what happens next season.thanks Pail for the awesome videos you are the man.

thanks chris this has been a four year project. I got it done right before joshs race in Norwalk.i went there the car ran with no problems.i had to learn the digital 7 electric konis it all worked out.i would like to go back to Arizona in the summer time to see if I can take the heat.later johnny.

I thought on one of the videos it looked like you ran a 4.69 in the 1/8 mile. That equates to a high 7.30 to a low 7.40 et. That's stout for a 588 at 2550#'s and very impressive power. If it were in my dragster I would be looking at 6.80's-6.90's. Food for thought and can't wait for you to get a full 1/4 mile pass.

hey Tom that was at Norwalkit had run a4.75 at147 the air got better my friends thought it would go that so I put it on the window.im sure once I get the clutch right and the gearing in the lenco right it should go faster.im thinking of getting a lithium pro battery its 30 lbs lighter than the rock battery and I have 30 lbs of weight in the rearthat should be 6 hundreths.it should go high 4.60s.pete went 4.76 and 7.39 at Chicago with his pso.im already planning a aluminum block,and acs3 lenco to get 200 lbs out of the car.hopefully it would go 4.50s that would be in the 7.17 range. how is your predator motor?im going to have fun with it next year and when I freshen it it will get the aluminum block.

My Predator had an accident and I'm working on another one. I'm not sure what happened but it never really ran up to par and it's been a tough year. Steve has been real good about everything and is helping me out to my satisfaction and beyond. That said, I'm in the process of getting enough pieces together for another one, but a KB low deck 540, as that's what I have the most parts for. My B1/MC 572 has been running good though, I just didn't get to race much last year. It went 7.50's in Salt Lake at 6000ft corrected so I'm looking forward to running in Vegas in the better air, I'm thinking it should go high 7.20's-low 7.30's though.
