Congrats Tom ----

May not be the exact way you ever wanted to get on the cover of a mag but take it when you can and move on. Good luck with the repairs and will see you out there again next year!!!

Thanks you guys and girls.i have estimates to fix the car and collecting hard to find replacement parts. This may not have been the way I wanted to make a cover of a magazine but it is pretty cool! The engine is ok. I was a little worried about oil starvation with the wheelstand and denting the oil pan. Everything was ok when we looked the engine over.

Painful "sucks-cess" Tom, my heart went and still goes out to you. I know you are a guy who just can't write a check to make it all better. The Blue Beast has been your mistress for many years. It'll take some work, good luck, and paychecks getting the ol' gal back together. Get a parts list and post it. I'd bet some guys just might have some "car of the year" parts in their stash( I know yours is a 68, but heh, it's close), and just waiting to find a great-hearted "average" guy to use them. Luv ya bro. Congrats on the pic. ...and what a pic !! Nice job, Rob W...

Awesome wheelie yeti! I'm proud to share the cover of this magazine with you. I own the 71 Polara HP2 thing. Pretty sure my car wouldn't do a wheelie with your engine mounted in my trunk. lol. I hope the repairs are not to bad for you. Love the car!

Dirk hale did them same thing but only had to replace the Charlies oil pan in his 68 HEMI dart. He was able to drive over to Charlies place and buy a replacement pan and got runner up on Sunday. We just a set of FireCore wires on it, Thanks Rich

We also bent new pan, and mounting bracket for crank triger pick up, for some reason front center trans pan bolt is now stripped and leaking fluid,

That looks cool 493demon,I will be a little nervous spraying on the line. It already leaves a little violent on motor.

Congratulations on the front cover shot Fast Yeti...
