727 to A833 trans starter interchange?

727 to A833 trans starter interchange? - 10/01/13 07:32 PM

I know between the 904 and 727 trans the starter will bolt right up but is it the same case between 727 and a833? Finnaly ordering all the parts for the swap and this is the last thing on the list..... I hope.

The gear drive Mopar starter will work on all the motors with either trans, stick or automatic, except the 1966 to 1969 426 Street Hemi that came with 173 tooth flyhweels and direct drive starters. Not all the of the 426 stick shift trannys came with that combination

Answered the question perfectly. Just a sb in the car and I ordered a 130tooth flywheel and a 10.5" clutch. Thanks for the info. I only have a week off and im ordering all the parts for the swap. Its going to be like Christmas when I get home
