Preregistered 08/05 looking at my bank statement $153.00 ($3.00 handling fee) taken out of my account. Never got any kind of confirmation/reciept I emailed them and got no reply. Has this happened to anyone else??

Yep, I got the same... I didn't try to email though... Josh is just way to busy!! Not to worry, you will get your goodies in the mail a week or so before the event.

Don't quote me on this but Josh usually has a Gamblers race on Friday with time trials for all the classes....

I heard the motor just has a bad cold and will be seeing the doctor this week. Hopefully the copay will be 20 -30 bucks.

I am planning on making my first mm event. The trip will be over 11 hours and that's if everything goes good. I am thinking of going on Thursday but, I see that the racer move in is only until 6PM. Does that mean that if I show up late that I will be looking for the closest parking lot until Friday morning?

You can get in at the other gate after hrs, its an 11hr haul for us Canucks(Ron & myself)we usually leave thurs morn and show up around 8pm, maybe we could meet on the way & convoy down. You'll LOVE the facility, nothing like the "ville" at all.

We allways arrive late....the gate stays open until 10pm for the stragglers.

WE'RE coming up fri night,and staying the hole weekend.
ive got the car all ready,testing is all done.
I'M GOING TO THE U.S. NATIONALS SATURDAY--by myself,no wife-no child
just me to go do what i want and not have to worry about anyone else
this will be a first for me,i've tried several times with the family
and THAT IS A BIG MISTAKE.

Im coming if the weather looks anything close to decent, never been to Norwalk, been to some really good facilities over the years, but really looking foward to Norwalk. The best track I ever raced at, Boise Id, is run by a family that has patterned a bunch or what they do off of how Bader does things, and from all Ive heard, Norwalk's facilty is as good as any of the super tracks

, got to be a great place to race.

Just talked to my buddy's wife and she said you can't get in on thurs. if your not preregistered. Is this true? Always went on thurs. before and was able to get in after registered racers ( usually about 3 pm). Need to know what's going on so these events will continue to grow. This type of info needs addressed as I have a group of friends that want to know this also. Can they get in on thursday without being preregistered?? They called Norwalk last week and Norwalk said they have NOT heard from Josh at that time so they didn't even know if the track would be open on thursday for anyone to get in.
If Josh is too busy he needs to have someone else handle these matters so people don't get mad and not come. I know of at least 2 BIG swap meet people that are NOT going because they got no response from Josh to questions they had about the swap meet stuff.

I am preregistered so Hopefully I can get in on Thursday.

In the past you could buy tickets there on Thirsday. Just had to wait in line. Don't know what it's going to be this year. Hope it's the same. We only pre-registered for 2 of us, but more are in our group. See what happenes that day I guess. Come on now promoter get on the stick here please. Losing entrants already is bad.

Eric you can just show up if you want to. An anniversary should not stop you from coming - on my 20th anniversary I was racing in Columbus

and also spent many of her Birthdays at Norwalk

Love that woman!!! Nothing official posted on payouts but if it's the same as Indy it has been posted elsewhere on this board. I also wish Josh would answer questions or at least have a spokesperson answer for him as many people do want and need answers. I have heard he is having some personal issues but he should not just ignore this series

But I just got off the phone with Norwalk, and spoke to them about the race next week.Norwalk has been in contact with Josh, and they expect Josh to be there Thursday morning. They said you do not have to be pre registered. you can show upThursday morning or whenever on Thursday and pay that day. They are also having a test in tune Wednesday night. You can leave the car there Wednesday night, as long as you're there at 8 o'clock in the morning Thursday to move it to lenders lot.. people have questions call the track and ask them. Hope this helps thank you

Thanks Matt, thats pretty much how it been in years past, I will be there thursday morning even if I have to park in the truck dock parking lot,,,Josh, you are dropping the ball here buddy, this is not the way to make this series survive.

As some of you know and most probably do not, Josh is taking care of his wife. They are dealing with a serious illness and have been to see several neurologists without the best of results. I will try to do my best to answer any questions you may have concerning his race at Norwalk. I am told that racers and vendors can get in on Thursday between 12-6 (preregistered will be admitted first). Josh asked me to field questions here on Moparts and although I am not directly affiliated with the MMW, I consider him a friend and said I would try to help. I hope you all understand that I have limited contact with him and cannot answer every question that comes up, but I will do my best.

They had golf cart rentals last year but they were stupid expensive like $100 a day. You probably didn't notice because few would rent them for that much money. I think Josh is working on the cart rentals. As soon as I know something for sure I will post it here.

Josh and his Family are in my thoughts and prayers. Seems like the Mopar community is getting hit hard with health problem and life's issues as our over all age group is on the rise. It would be neat to see what our average age was 10 years ago and what it is now. I have one son that would spend his last dime to race and one son that would rather buy a video game. I love them both but even Matt (who races) isn't Mopar to the bone like I am. He would race a tonka car if he could as long as he could race. I would really LOVE to make the Norwalk race again as my last pass at this event didn't go so well as I slid on my roof thru the finish line on a quick 16 qualifier. Hope to finally meet you Josh and take care of that wife. John C.

I hope to be there. Engine is being assembled and might be back to my house by Saturday. Just need to install it and the pig with 4.11's (down from 4.56). Having a 1050 Dominator being converted to alcohol to replace the 950HP. That should be back this Monday or Tuesday. Plus a little fabricating to the scoop opening to accommodate the wider carb body and some firewall alterations for the new angle of the throttle linkage rod. If all goes according to plan I'll be there Thursday.

just curious, its monday and my "pre registered stuff" hasen't showed up in the mail yet. im leaving early thursday morning, will they have a record of the pre registered people just in case the packets don't make it in time?

just curious, its monday and my "pre registered stuff" hasen't showed up in the mail yet. im leaving early thursday morning, will they have a record of the pre registered people just in case the packets don't make it in time?

I sure hope so cause I am in the same boat as you and my wife will be showing up Friday morning and will need her entry credentials too.

Hate to miss it as I looked forward to going but I think I will let the dust settle on the change-over as there seem to be some issues that need ironed out. The big problem i see in his series is lack of communication and that can be a very big issue.

the last "testing" went VERY WELL last night----ready for 10.5 class

it was a private track rental last night with 15 X275 AND OUTLAW 8.5
guys--all mustangs and 1 nova and 1 MOPAR--me,ITS cool cause everyone comes over and checks out my car--the only mopar around amongst all the mustangs.

we're ready to go----------------------

It seems like a lot of confusion here. But it is no different than before. The last 2 years at least for me, was so hard getting any kind of answer. Please come out & try to keep the support for these races going. I know times are trying on us all, but lets keep a good foot forward on this situation. The dust will settle & we all will be racing. Last year I never rec. anything either. Just showed up at linders lot & my package & tickets were there. Please guys keep a level head & lets race. Thank You, Ken Michalik

JOSH received the wristbands and associated items late and they will be available at the track instead of mailing them. Linder's Lot for racers and Budweiser gate for car show people .

UPDATE on registration packets from Josh King:

Due to unforeseen circumstances we were not able to mail out pre-registration packets. We had a problem with our printer so stickers and wrist bands did not arrive on time.

Do not fret, it will be OK!

This is how we will resolve it:

Racers and vendors coming Thursday can get your packets at Linders Lot (you can't miss it} from 12 PM to 6 PM.

Racers and vendors who come late Thursday night or very early Friday morning will also get your packets at Lindors Lot.

From Friday mid morning through the rest of the weekend pick up your packets at the Budweiser Gate,

Show Car participants can get your packets at the Summit Gate all weekend starting at 8 AM on Friday.

We are very sorry for this change in plans and hope you can forgive us.

You might want to recheck the Harlow tire. I spoke to Brian last week, asked him to bring me some tires. He mentioned they did not have the store at the track anymore ?
I was surprised. Maybe someone can confirm this with him

I hope they plan better next year and don't have this race the same weekend as the Division 3 ET finals....because that's where I'm going to be this weekend....it sucks because I'm tied for first in points in the Monster Mopar sportsman series too....I had to make a decision, and I'm going to the ET finals.

Have you ever gone to the Mopar race at Norwalk? It has always been on bracket final weekend. That's how SMP has an open weekend for them!

What I have decided to with the Saturday rainout is offer a free Saturday entry to the 2014 Indy race.

We keep tech cards separated by race event so it's easy to track on my end.

Yeah, it makes sence...heck, most of the tracks around here close for the ET finals since a good chunk of their racers will be at Indy. It probably made for an easy track rental time...oh well, have fun and be safe.

Got my car back from Jeff Russell today! Thanks Jeff! I'm ready to go.

He went through the tranny for me and Frank Lupo rebuilt and upgraded the converter. The tranny acted suspicious at the Mopar Race at Tristate. Jeff did all the labor.

It should be. One if the nicest tracks in the country and a great weather forecast. Fingers crossed for minimal oil downs so they can get through the program. I plan on arriving Sat morning. My wife will be on a disability scooter, if you see us, say hi.

The rain really cuts down on the T&T,gamblers racing so tomorrow will be a little more aggressive racing with people trying to get new best ET/MPH with temps expected in the mid 60's.I hope to have some pics to share tomorrow night.

They cancelled the gambler's race because it is cold, going to get colder, and then damp. They did get everyone a time trial though
The weather did not cooperate until about 4:30p and it was only a little cooperation

Did you see that 71 Dart stand up on the rear bumper, from my vantage point it looked like he crushed the rear valance then took out his pan. Clean-up for quite a while but not nearly as bad as that Coronet that puked ALL of it's coolant at the line!

We were racing Friday night when he did a huge wheel stand in a hurry,,,

We are trying to find some pics or video. Car is fixable. Right side took a good whack on the quarter, door, fender. Front/rear bumpers torn up.

Tom did some great driving to keep it from going over the wall. He was on the bumper and kept his cool.

Glad he's ok.....

Well I had a blast but I missed my long awaited 9.50's run Saturday night because my car was seriously lean.

Should of gone at least 9.58 but ran a 9.615. Did get my personal best by 0.012.

Did find out I can cut a .500 pro tree light but have yet not figured out a consistent way to scrub 0.04 seconds.

I did take a BGR car out - we both had 0.022 lights he was on his dial with a 3 and I was on my dial with a 1. I guess you do get lucky sometimes!

I did get treed on my lst run - had a 0.011 light and the other fellow had a 0.001!

Overall had a real good time!

OH no that's not good, glad he is OK and the car is fixable. So how did you do Doug? sorry i didn't make it this year, had to much stuff going on. Are they having a monster mopar race in saintlouis this year? if they do hope to see you there.
