Save the date as Rad Rides by Troy will be featured in an hour long show on the Discovery Channel.

SPEED CAPITOL OF THE WORLD:
BONNEVILLE
Will air on the Discovery channel: Tuesday, December 16th at 9:00 pm (central time) Check your local listings for the air time in your area.

The show will feature footage of The Rad Rides by Troy Team at the shop preparing the "Blowfish" to head to Bonneville to set a new record on the salt in 2008. The Discovery channel also spent the week shooting actual race footage at the salt flats in Bonneville.

Man O man, almost 300 with a 4 cylinder. That must feel like a swarm of bumble bees in your suit. If I live long enough I'd like to get something, one day that would hold it's own in some class on the salt just to experience it. Some of the wildest wheeled vehicles I've ever seen have come from that arena.

I saw the car at the local GoodGuys show last year. A real nice piece of work.

The car has recently been upgraded to a V-8. The man I recntly bought my house from works for George driving a car hauler...

thanks for the headsup on the show time!
i cant believe the weight thay add to help it get traction.there are some motorcycles with 50+lbs hanging off the rear swingarm and front forks.

I want to attend a meet at Benneville one day. It's on my "to do" list! On a somewhat related note, has anyone here seen "The World's Fastest Indian"? Very cool movie.

A buddy of mine is friends with Troy and some of the crew at Rad Rides,so I heard "of" this car when it was still being built. Shortly after completion they brought it to Milwaukee for the World of Wheels show. They were gracious enough to let us "under the ropes" to see the car up close and personal!It is an incredible car! I'm sure the same can be said for anything that leaves the Rad Rides shop!!

Having been a crew member on a record setting streamliner (car 448 - Nafzger and Savage) in the 1980s - going to Bonneville for one of the speed weeks (SCTA or USFRA) is well worth the experience. The 448 car - I/GS still holds the FIA record for the class. Its very laid back and the cars and crews are accessible, unlike NHRA national meets.

Poteet and Main streamliner - 180CI 4 cyl Mopar Midget engine 1045HP 25# boost - ran 390 MPH in Sept. This streamliner was also powered by a DLI built flathead Ford engine. It was featured in HRM.

Rad rides by Troy is an interresting place..the craftsmanship that Troy,his father and the guys that work for him are second to none...

Becky tried selling some product to them...MOTHER's is their main sponser and thats what they have to use...we left a bottle and a demo...was fun..
