Next change on the Duster, convertor - 06/21/13 11:27 PM

Ok guys,

I am not sure what way to jump on this so here is the next chapter of the saga....

I have a PTC convertor and a Dynamic convertor. both are 9" jobs, both are set up for a trans brake.

I am wondering if I should send one of them in and have it tuned up for my current set up or just get a new one. Cost is a factor. I am thinking a new one will be in the $7-900 range plus the ride.

Thoughts?

refresh on the car, 73 Duster, 470, 1000hp carb, 13.5 to 1, 620 ultradyne cam, 4.10 gear, 2600lbs with me on E-85. this will see both street and strip.

Send one in. $250 usually to cut open, adjust and put back together.

You can have either one brought up to the specifications you now need. I had more flash added to one of mine, but it was not cheap. I spent $600. as opposed to $950. for a new one.
