My ultra glide with ultra bell and roller tailshaft housing weighs 106 lbs dry.

I'm sure someone here has a TF weight to compare, just remember to add the weights of the shields as well.

I think a dry 727 is 135 ish I can't lift them any more!

Sorry, I couldn't resist!

If you were considering the glide it is a great choice if you have a light car.
I ran a 1.76 glide with the turbo input shaft and a Coan 5k 8" convertor in the 65 for 4 years. Performed flawlessly.

Hey thanks for that input, Id done a google before posting my question but came up blank,

what would be considerd "light"?

I see many people say that 2800 lbs is the break even weight between a 727 and glide. Mine was 2900 lbs when I changed over to a glide and I actually picked up et. All cars are a little different though. It has been deadly consistent.

I don't know what the difference is in weight between the two, but it's not much difference.

My a body with me in it was around 3000lbs.
