Yeah I'm gonna slow it down to run 10.90 during the
week then set it up for the brackets to 10.80(they
subtract .1 from your weekly average)

I made it in. I will be in SB/NA again and that means I will get my butt kick again.
Now I just need to find the money to make the trip plus make the car 60' better and find more MPH, my goal is to run in the 10s every day this year.

Ray, what kind of mods were allowed in the MOD class
but either way I cant go 9.80 without a license...

Mod is ladder or 4 link rear susp
street race is full interior stock susp
super street is not full interior stock susp
I really don't get the difference between those 2 classes but I think I could make my car meet either one.
I have wanted to put some spring boxes on my car for either B/E body or Chevy leaf springs with the longer front segment but that may be tricking the rule book a little also

I dont think the boxes would cause any issue... its
still a stock item(just not on your car)... hell
you could bend up your own boxes

I thought I read about a Modidified NA car going 8's last year but fell out of the race due to something at home. Thought it took a 9.4- to win the class. Or was I reading about the wrong class?

Yea I hope to know something in the next couple of weeks. Bowling green is only 6 hours for me...I like the tracks too! I have run on all of them except for St Louis.

I havent run at Bowling Green or Memphis.. but I have
heard good things about BG... I dont know anyone that

It depends on who shows up.
Back in 09, Jay and I won Mod NA with a 9.50 average. But that was back when you had to have stock rear suspension, on leafs and caltracks. Now with a 4 link, in theory it should be faster.

We are in with the hemi Belvedere IF I can get it done (Street Race BB NA). If not we will run DD with the old Road Runner .....again.

yeah im on the list for streetrace bb na also 9.60s on pumpgas, maybe faster if i can geta aluminum block in time 
or i can go power adder run 8.80s my wife is in with her low 9 second grandnational

my car has a 13 gallon cell but only 10 usable gallons because of the return system, I got 10 mpg but I think it could have been better with more tuning. it was rich with the timing turned way down

rough figures I should get 16-18 mpg on the road in OD,
maybe a bit better... I should be about 2900-3000
rpm at 75mph in OD.. running a little 850dp Holley

I averaged a little over 13 for the trip. I got the best mileage on I-40 running 3800-4000 rpm the last day, it got almost 15 on a tank or two. I was kind of expecting 10mpg so this was a nice bonus.

What is the rear tire width for Mod NA?....My car is typically Pro Street, but could probably run a narrower tire..I would not want to spend enough to go 8's...
