Preformer RPM with a valley plate - 02/09/13 04:17 PM
Stupid question I know because I could find this out on my own just by looking. But I'm currently a 7 hour drive away from my engine and wondered if anyone else had tried it.
I am wondering if anyone has used a valley plate with a Performer RPM intake on a 440 (and not the deal made by 440Source -- yes, I know it exists). The Performer RPM is so high up I was thinking it might clear. I also know I've seen my machinist mill the heat cross over section on an intake before (it has been so long ago I don't even remember the engine or intake) to get it to work with a valley plate. Since I run aluminum heads with no heat cross over I could probably do something like this.
Thoughts? Experiences?
