What happened to it being in June when it always is? And why are we possibly moving to Quaker city? July and August are so hot most years that I usually don't bother racing.

Like to 19-21 July weekend. Quaker is a slower track, but for those who haven't been there. In every other way it is a better facility. The pits are not gravel all over. The rest room and shower facilities are there. Too me its all about location as well. Quaker overall is a nicer place to race. Please take a look at there web page if you have never been there. Boardman is right around the corner for night time activities as well. Alot of times they have car cruises down town as well.
Thank you, Ken Michalik
Quote:That looks like a really go schedule for every one.
Here is what I have listed on my calender but not sure of which ones I will go to. This is a listing of the ones that do interest me. As you will see I have no interest in the Mopower events so they are not listed!
6/22 Sled City Nostalgia
6/28 MM Indy
7/19 Blue Suede Crusie w/NSS race Norwalk
7/28 JJ Chrysler Classic
8/1 Doug Duell NSS
8/24 JJ Chrysler Classic or Norwalk NMCA
9/13 MM Norwalk
These are weekend dates and may show Friday but are 2 or 3 day races.

I voted for August, but June 7 - 9 looks wide open for someone to have a race. Pittsburgh would be great and or Quaker City.
Thanks / Gary
Quote:There were a few from this board there, and all you know that I race 100% Mopars and have been since 1967. But I want to be honest with you , there sure were a lot of Fords in the winners circle and I would like to see the Mopars in that spot. Support the event and come out and whip some Fords aces. Check out the picture from that event at www.sledcityevents.com. Thanks N/SS guy for the plug!Quote:

I second the June 7-9 date at Quaker City. This looks to be good fit, plenty of time between it and Monster Mopar at Indy. I do not think you will conflict with the Sled Citys event. How many on this board raced the Sled City?? NSS had less than 16 cars, No Box- maybe 30 cars, etc. Early June as Gary said is WIDE OPEN.
Racers need to schedule their vacation time asap, probably too late for some.

Bob is asking for the help of all Moparts members that have attended or wanted to attend the Curt George Memorial race to choose the site and date for the event.
Thank you all for your help.
Quote:I agree PRP would be my first choice, but wherever Bob takes it that's where we will try to go. Mike
WOW only 28 votes for PRP so far. We have way more Mopars than that on a weekly race day at PRP and I surly hope the Curt George Memorial race stays there. I never liked the track layout at Quaker City and the track prep will never be as good as it is at Pittsburgh Raceway Park. The grass is nice but if people would use there head and not pull thru the added asphalt in the pit spots, gravel would not be an issue.

June 1&2, June 8&9, June 15&16 all appear open.
May 25&26 Memorial Holiday weekend is open.
However, QC has a Nostalgia Classic scheduled on May 26th and PRP has a Nitro Jam June 1&2.
Based on Kyles schedule.....
June currently has 3 events scheduled, July has 4 and August has 3.

We are planning a meeting with the BGR racers within the next week or sooner. We would like to thank everyone for their imput. We have recieved many emails and phone responces also.
The majority of racers seem to want the race in August and at Quaker. When Kyle,AJ and the base team get together a decision will be made and we will inform everyone.
Again thans for all the imput.
Respectfully,Bob
Quote:Will you be running the same format as the 2008 Hemi Reunion? I’m wondering because doesn’t the box class run 1/8 mile at tri-state?
The Chrysler Power Classic and All-Hemi Reunion is scheduled for Tri-State Dragway in Hamilton, OH, August 24-25, 2013. Marion County, Ohio is still up in the air. We'll also be doing an event October 19-20 in a slightly warmer climate. There will probably be another event, but it will depend on what BG is doing. It won't interfere with the Memorial.
