I run a cast intake with a Wilson elbow...It is fine... Do you think there would be an issue?

What are the oil lines coming from the oil pan for? We have a wilson elbow with a cast indy intake, works just fine. Have been running it for five years now, have been in hte dyno once nad it made 1580 hp at 6100 rpm but the turbos were already out of their range at that point.

just asking, because of a post on the turbo forums about the throttle body causing more flow to be fed to the back cylinders than to the front ....

Shouldn't they be above the oil level?

The only time oil is level is when the pump isnt whipping it around the engine.

I seriously doubt there is more than 3" of oil in the pan when its running.

I run 11 quarts in my BB just to have some left in the pan at the end of the quarter.

Lokin Good Andy, Good luck with it!

My procharged engine liked the intake just fine. If you do your intake cleanup well it will flow air just as good as it will flow air and fuel actually a litle better.

Yep! Once it's all pressurized container under boost - it's all the same pressure everywhere. Port injection means no issues with distribution, although I have seen differences in fuel delivery from the injectors based on fuel temps when NA. That also becomes a mute point once it's all at WOT and flowing cool fuel.

Re: Andy's w8 turbo engine aka (fishy340) - 01/05/13 04:04 PM

It was more about how the air flows along the back side as the throttle body opens @ tip in... I'm sure it's not even enough for me to worry about but they seem to make more of an issue on it on a straight Plentum ntake ..
