I found the same thing and made some calls to Hughes and to Dunnuck.

Hughes could not answer all my questions. They told me they had an email in to Dunnuck.

I have called Dunnuck several times; just got the answering machine.

That engine resembles the street mule I have been flogging for nearly 30+ years. The eddies on such a low compression engine for only the last 5-6 years. I know iron heads should make more power, but the goal is best bang for the buck on the worst gas at the pump.

I have questions. This has become my 87 octane, mpg, real street driving anywhere engine.

I saw it on hughes' site a few days back. Keep up the good work Keith.

You have my sincere apologies. I woke up a week ago Friday with my right shoulder locked, was supposed to help a customer tune his engine Saturday. Just got hos done today after several days of doctors and x rays and garbage so I'm just way behind. I did e-mail Dave Hughes back last night.

I can call tomorrow or Monday if you want, but if you were wondering what Dave had asked me;...
I used the customers existing1.5 iron rockers and regular non RPM Performer intake. I think an TPM would have helped it carry hp a little higher

I will call your shop. I will give you a few days to catch up.

Thanks, that answers a few of the questions. The regular performer intake is likely why the rpm drops after 5300 rpm. That has been my experience, they seem to pull to 5,500 rpm, but 5,000-5,200 seems to get the job done in the quarter mile.

Let me know a good day and time,Ill call you if you want. I have a small shop, just me there so calls get missed and I have to call back. You aren't the first guy I have done it to.

I'm usually on here late at night and early in the morning or emails work too. But I understand some guys would rather talk than type.
Just let me know.
