I am honored and very appreciative for winning best appearing car at this past weekends Jegs Sportsnationals. Considering it has been painted for 8+ years I guess it shows how hard we work at keeping it nice. I was very happy to hear befotre third round that I won the award from Mike Rice. It is a cool deal for sure.

I wish I could have finished the deal and won the race as well. Would have been nice to double up on the Wally's. Told Rice I will go up for the pictures when I finally win this race. Instead I made yet another final round in S/ST and am now 0-9 in them. I think my son and wife are more dissapointed than me about it. I have kind of consigned myself to it not happening. Once again my fault. Had .015 on the tree and gave it away at the stripe. Maybe next time. Did move up in the points and will hopefully be able to finish up top 5 for the year. Currently 33 points out of first place with a race left to go. One more chance left this year maybe we can finally get one. Two finals this year and no wins....

Looks like you were on your game in all the rounds. It would be hard to judge when your car just starts to make a move in the last 200' I still think you did great!!

A Wally is a trophy that you will treasure forever! Congrats on yours. A lot of racers try for their entire racing career to win a Wally and never achive this goal.

Congrats Al, we were pulling for you in the finals...You have two awesome cars and have pushed me to step up my game...Heck, two cars in two finals in the last two weeks, a lot better than most of us out there. But you have to watch out for me next season...

Nice to have one of those and well deserved. BTW, I will be at Vegas Nov. 16-19 for the big race. I have a friend racing down there and will be playing crew chief.
We were going to take my car and let him run it but he couldn't get any seat time to get used to it.

Congrats brotha. Certainly well deserved and a very nice recognition of how unbelievably nice your car is. More importantly, it is great recognition of all the hardwork you and the boy put into that car making it look as nice as it runs.

Guess the show poodle crowd was onto something years ago when you won the national car show event at Sacramento with it.

No I wouldn't.
But that is about the coolest trophy in sports.
I know Doc has chased one for years in S/C and now T/S and he is very serious about his drag racing........this tells me just how tough it is to take one home.
Well deserved too. Your Cuda is definitely a class act.

I don't have a best appearing Wally, but have 5 of the others (Divisionals)..

That was one of his cars.........he had two roadsters and a Corvette bodied S/C cars and now runs a Firebird in T/S as well.
We nearly did a deal for his pink car. He wanted my Dart for his daughter , but I couldn't let go.
Not the best decision I've ever made , but I'm still happy.
