Well Not sure how good this info is. but I seen where someone posted that it rain yesterday. about 1:30 and they call it off for the day ? alot mad because they did't dry the track.

It rained Friday until 330. Beautiful after that. Bill Jr said there was alot of water in the air still to successfully dry the track. Not sure how that works? A lot of new bests for sure.
Quote:I can pretty much tell you why they didn't dry the track and prep it friday afternoon/evening.....money, Charley isn't going to spend one dime more than he has to since it's his last show, he wants to walk away from this with every cent he can squeeze from it.
Yep it rained Friday and I didnt understand why they couldnt get the track dry, the pit road where we where parked was dry 30 mins after the sun came out... Then why couldn't they Tech the cars in on Friday instead of waiting till Saturday to do it all. But all in all it was a good weekend and I got to meet some of the other members here. The car ran good, I really didnt want to work on it but ended up anyhow.

All I heard is that one of our members was running some personal bests, broke into the 11s after a cam swap earlier this year.
Congrats Dennis! aka: 360904
--how's that new trailer working out for you!
Yes, my car finally woke up and came to life. New best of 11.88 that's fast enough for me. Bill, Larry Smith wants to chain and lock my hood closed so I will quit messing with it. Tom, a enclosed trailer is nice and parking at your house is a blessing, thank you for that. It was a great weekend....

IIRC Charlie told a group of us a couple of years ago it cost about $200.00 and hour to rent a track dryer, if the track has one avaliable. That is above the cost of the track rental. Soooooo, maybe thats why!!!
Quote:No use complaining about last week , or should I say the previous seasons with the old promoter. Let's look forward to some good times with the new promoter.Quote:

I would think if it was a money issue, he could have explained charging an extra $5 per entry in a Friday night gamblers race and made more than enough to cover the track prep. It cost most of us there on Friday a days pay just to be there just to sit and do nothing...
