Yeah, you heard right, this past Saturday was a fun one at Mopars at Englishtown with a small clan of grudged Police trooper, cruisers, and bruisers going at it at what may become a new class for next years Mopars @ E-town.

Super Trooper

Ralph from the "Supercar" gang in conjunction with Walter the track MC made it easy for us to get our Donuts handed and we had a blast.

Look for some quick Police package cars to rise from the depths at next years event, mine included.
I got busted by my boys sandbaggin' the Diplomat when it broke out with a whoppin' 17.77 on a 18.28 dial in. and that was off the gas. LOL.

Some of those law enforcement "rides" aren't slouches either!!

I hope it becomes a class.

I've got 'em all beat already. They don't call me Chef-Boy-R-Lee for nothing. The only thing is that as the day gets cooler, we have to dial up on the ET because we'll all be gaining weight from the Donuts and slow the cars down.
This class is going to be hilarious. It's all in the fun and laughter, Racing in general is some times too darn serious.

I had a blast the next day with the Black car as well.

Great idea Harvey. The track MC Walter and the whole Police car gang were discussing ideas for next years shootout. No pun intended.

Glad you had a blast, Lee. Thanks for showing us the "fun" side of the straight line "boogie".

And again, this looks like a class that anyone can "relate" to, from the "weekend warriors", the street rats and cruiser/bruisers to "all out" racers.

What's really good is that the "alchohol-fueled" and "illegally-boosted" drivers will kinda think twice about running a car that is known for giving FREE RIDES to the "Gray Bar Inn".

Which makes a better atmosphere for all to enjoy,
let alone - safer.

Well..

.. when you have 2.79 - 3.0 rear gearing in your car, I'd say that anything else with deeper gearing would outrun you! However, using "borrowed
parts" from the leftover stockpile of 340/360 engine pieces, they weren't bad cars at all. Biggest problems (besides the gearing) were the compression and valve lift/timing. There were a few 318's and maybe 360's equipped with the 308? smallblock head. Not a shabby package at all when "tuned right".

There will be more Cop cars idling in the staging lanes for next years Donut run for sure.
I'm making a call out to some here on the board and local Vintage Mopar Cop cars from Long Island, New Jersey and Ct.
