M/T ET street radial ?

Anybody using these like them ? Wondering how good they hook compared to the Hoosier radial slicks I use. I am looking at a set thats 29.6 tall x 10 wide. I want to stay with the radial tire as I like the way they handle on the street better then the bias tires. I really want a taller tire but everything taller gets to wide for my stock wheelwell. Ron

Ron, I had them on my old 340 72 swinger. They ride nice and hooked just fine but that car was slow (13.82)... They have a decent amount of tread so unless it's pouring you can still make it home ok.

I run the 295-65 M/T ET Street radials. I've been 1.320 sixty foot w/ them.

are you looking at the et street radial(DOT street legal) or radial slick ?like the hoosier.
i have used the et street radial for a number of years and been happy though they are sensitive to track prep.they are great on the street just don't go crazy in the wet ,though i have never had issues.
i used the 275/60R15,several friends have used the 295/65R15 all with good results
they are a BIG heavy tyre.for some reason they are too close to the dogleg on my Plymouth yet they fit fine on a mates 69 Roadrunner.yet i can fit the Hoosier 9.0x30R15 radial slick.go figure

They work well on my car. I run smaller ones (255/60's) and they pretty much dead-hook my car, which has been 1.55 60's. You do a lot of street driving though, Ron. And they are VERY soft. Notoriously short on street life expectancy.

I have 295/65/15 ets on my car. They are basically 29.5 inches tall.

After some chassis changes they are dead hooking with the mild motor. They are hooking so hard they exposed major issues in the acc pump circuit that I didnt know existed.

I was running 275/60/15 Et. They hooked decent with the 11.3x motor. But, with the chassis changes I have made, I think they would hook very well now.

Ron....I have 325/50s on my Dart and have no complaints on the street. At the strip if the track is good they're great, if the track is marginal they suck. I have been 1.38 60' on a good track though.

I use the 275 pro ET radial and almost put the car on the bumper 3 pass

you are already using a radial slick, so tuning is similar....

295-65 MT you cant go wrong, they will last pretty well as a street tire and obviously work very well on the track...295 Hoosier is a little lighter and will wear out a lil faster with street driving, I have been just as fast on both tires

Hi Ron, I use the ET drag radials on my Coronet, 325x50x15's, set at 18 psi for the strip. Excellent hook, have taken pics of me off the line and they DO hook nice. I can't compare them to the Hoosier, but have heard only good things about those as well. Granted, I had to do a mini tub to get them into my wheel wells, but have plenty of room after doing so. No complaints about the M/T's at all. One thing I found out, you don't need to do a John Force burn out to get them to hook... I like that.
